My room is a total tip compared to that one ... Boxes! Boxes everywhere. I'm a box hoarder :(

'But I need them to return / sell stuff in'.

And I do. They're only boxes, but there's so many darn boxes!

Thats how my crawl space is, boxes and boxes. I just threw out a couple of bags worth of boxes out not too long ago. Yet it seems like I haven't made a dent in my box collection.

I personally use my Computer as a server for GameStreaming to my Nvidia Shield TV (with Moonlight). For me this works kind of well, I am getting 60 fps @ 1080p with a very small input lag. I have to say, that I have a solid home Network and only the switch between my PC and Shield Device. Since the new GForce Experience beta I don't have problems with the Login anymore and all works fine. The benefits of gamestreaming for me are the silence and convenience.

For my other rooms, i've been using Steam in-home streaming. It's been hit or miss for me though. In the living room, I just ran a really long HDMI cable. How well does GameStreaming work vs Steam's in-home streaming?

I don't see the point of this.

"Enjoy PC titles like Heroes of the Storm, World of Warcraft, League of Legends, and DOTA 2 on your HDTV with a keyboard and mouse using Bluetooth."

Or.... use a hdmi cable pc to tv and save $$$? especially if you already have a smart tv.

It may a space issue for some or the main rig may be elsewhere in the house. I understand why people do these kinds of set ups. I want to play my games in the bedroom, but running an HDMI cable from where my computer is to the bedroom is out of question.

I know somebody who would love this bedroom

It's a cool looking bed room. I wish I would've put that much thought and dedication into building a gaming set up that matched the style of the room.

I have never used Steam in-home Streaming so it's kind of impossible for me to compare them. So my GameStream experiences so far:

  • With the Nvidia game Stream app it was a mess, sometimes it chooses 720p, Games don't start... I always needed to restart Nvidia Experience on my pc to get it working.
  • With moonlight as client, I had no problems with the newest Nvidia Experience (beta) app. I can choose the bit rate which is a big plus for me. The input lag was not a problem (not noticeable for me) for the type of games I play (RPG).

So I don't know if I would recommend it, it was a mess to setup and still sometimes it doesn't work fine. I have to say, that I use it over Ethernet and I only have a switch (professional hardware) between my PC and Nvidia Shield tv (distance around 20m). I don't really know, if that changes much, but I noticed a big difference when I was playing over my wifi network. Then the input lag was noticeable.

@leodaniel, that setup sounds great! I live in a small studio apartment and can see both screens I own from any point lol. My lady friend and I are looking at bigger places and I might pick your brain about a similar setup to what you are using.

Anyone have bluetooth game-pad ideas? I've looked at some of the Mad Catz and MOGA stuff, but haven't made a decision yet. I contemplated a XboxOne/360 controller and USB wireless adapter, but it feels like investing in something that I'll be replacing sooner than later.

Ps4 controller makes for a good bluetooth controller.

Do you use the DS4Windows software? I haven't attempted to try it with my bluetooth USB yet. If so, any tips? haha I saw there are some youtube videos and such. I was going to check them out when I get around to trying it out. I'm looking into getting a new GPU and a PSU next month, but if I'm picking up hardware maybe I'll get a newer BT dongle while I'm at it.

I actually dont own a dualshock 4 lol. I have used it and it does work really well with the software you mentioned. It shouldn't have the same issues that the ps3 controller had where you needed to use a specific subset of bluetooth devices or drivers (or w as that an issue with the wii remote). Just make sure to research whether or not it needs specific bluetooth dongles.
