TPLink Resource CD

Catz420

So like I just bought this wireless network card from TP Link. And the driver disk is like mad small. Will this fit in a normal sized optical drive?

It works just like a regular CD.

Yup. 8cm CDs work pretty much like the 12cm disks. That's what the smaller groove is for here. Some cases have these 5.25" drives installed vertically. That's one of the few situations when you'll have trouble with them. Also the trayless slot-loading drives usually can't handle them. But your ordinary drives will read them just fine.

Just BTW, since it's TP-link, I'd suggest you only install the driver from the DVD. Don't install the program they use for connecting. It has a stupid bug that pops the program up if the connection lags even a tiny bit. It's super annoying when you're watching a movie or gaming or something. Instead you should just not install it and use the built-in connection functions in Windows. If you have Ethernet available, you can obviously get the driver online too.

think u'll need an optical drive that u click cds into place. Also u won't be able to find drivers from their site because they require manual installation and don't come with a install tool.  Also the wireless utility is pretty useless so ya use windows.
