HyperX Cloud II, only the mic doesn't work

My HyperX Cloud II headset worked completely fine for about 5 months until my microphone stopped working while I was using my Xbox One with headset adaptor. My microphone started sending static to other people in my party before it just stopped working. my Xbox read no input from the mic so I tried it using my PC on the recording inputs and then with the skype call test and there was no response from the mic on either of them. I ordered a new mic (the warranty doesn't cover it because I bought 3rd party over Amazon) when the new mic came just today I had the same problems where the headphone part still works so I can hear but not talk so now I think it is something in the headset itself and I was wondering before I get a new headset if anyone else has had this problem and if it is fixable or if I just need to get a new one

I had to RMA mine with the same problem. They accepted a screenshot from amazons order details as the receipt. The problem is in the connector on the male mic connector of the headset cable.
