I was double checking this build would be alright and work properly. Can someone please review it. Here it is: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/V9XpGf.

Looks like a really good build, would not change anytime unless you want to render etc...then get a i7

Slight tweak: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/LgrXPs

Made some changes to merchants so there's less of em for easier shipping: It's mostly Amazon & Newegg and the mobo from SuperBiiz.

Corsair LPX replaced with premium TridentZ's, and Corsair PSU replaced with Platinum EVGA.

Just slight increase in price ($7) but with lower base total.

You have a CPU bottleneck

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

what a i5 will bottleneck a 980ti in games like GTA V, crysis 3, far cry 4 and more. Basically any GPU with more power than a 980 will be bottlenecked in those games by a i5.

A cpu that's a $100 more is faster by a few frames on very select games.

Technically it is a bottleneck but you're using the term too loosely as if his cpu would greatly hinder the performance of the gpu.

6600k + 980Ti is still a great combo.

LOL I am far from using the term loosely, I am using it like it should be used, so when a CPU is holding a GPU back there is a CPU bottleneck and I would not call about 10 fps a little, I would call that a lot and tell me what GPU can you get for 100$ more that will give you those 10 fps more in those games.

If you say I am using it loosely then damn, does the game need to have a 20fps difference for you to call it a bottleneck??

a i5 6600k + 980ti is a unbalanced combo

Adding $100+ for 10fps for a few games is worth it to you?

Umm it is a better value than going out a buying a better model of the same GPU because that is the ONLY thing that you can do in the higher end GPU marked and 10 fps is a lot to gain from just 100$ up there, so yeah it is worth it to me, because I know a lot about tech and I know that this problem will only get bigger.

LOL you keep saying a i5 + 980ti is a "great" combo, but a great combo would be something where the CPU is NOT holding the GPU back and guess what the i5 is doing to the 980ti. A i5 + RX 480 is a great combo, A i7 + 1070 is a great combo.

what about the i7 + 1080, you didn't include it, is it also a great combo?

>great combo

a  i7 6700k and 1080 is a good/great combo if you ask me, because the i7 6700k can hold the 1080 a little back, but you can OC it and remove the bottleneck pret, but if you go SLI/ CF with a 1080 or what AMD comes out with, both OC3D TV and I recommend a 6850k
