so I sold my 970 and got a 1070, when i booted with the 970 it worked however it wont work with the 1070.

I have narrowed the problem down to the ram I can boot with 2 sticks of ram but i cant boot with all 4.

32gb kit by crucial 4x8gb

 

Ubuntu 24.04 on Ryzen 5 5600x and GTX 1070

Mint 22 on Razer Blade i7-11800h and RTX 3070

Did you remove any SATA cables? Sorry it has to be asked.

Unplug you PSU from the wall.

Remove the GPU and find a nickel-sized button battery, remove the battery.

Bridge the CMOS pins if you'd like. 

Re-install your battery then your GPU. 

Re-seat your RAM.

Re-plug your PSU and start your system.

Well if your problem is dat i shall recommend go boot into the bios with 2 sticks of ram and change the profiles xmp and that shit that i dont know, go learn about profiles and bios rn
