upgrade to 760?

i have a https://www.amazon.com/CybertronPC-Borg-Q-Gaming-Desktop-Quad-Core/dp/B00J9D4MVW/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1468534212&sr=8-5&keywords=gaming+pc with a 600w power supply  and a 750ti ftw and i can get a 760 sc atx for about $100 is it worth it and can my computer run it?

Tbh I'd just save the HDD and RAM and build a new computer because the AM3+ socket is dead (and has been for a long time) and a 760 isn't worth it when the RX 460/470 comes out.

Well... I guess you could do it. But if I was in your place, I'd focus on upgrading that dated pseudo dual core of yours and getting something like a 2nd hand i5 4440 or something.

 

Do this first and, after selling your current plaftorm + gpu is when you should think of a new graphics card.

Save up then. A 4130 would bottleneck anything above a 950 (pretty much)

if i get a new cpu then i need a new motherboard and new ram and i have 4 cores

For starters, you don't need new RAM. Yes, you do need a mobo, but RAM can be reused just fine if oyu aim for a Haswell CPU.

 

Second, you don't have a true quad core, you have a pseudo dual / quad core, depending on how you want to look at it. For instance, there are only 2 FPU units, which is a thing a lot of games make use of; in that case, you only have a dual core.
