I am a new user to the site so please bear with me. Recently had a custom liquid cooling system installed in my computer (480mm rad 8 corsair SP120 fans only cooling the CPU for now). Everything worked fine for a few days and then the pump stopped working (XSPC D5 Dual Bay Reservoir/Pump Combo - D5 Vario Pump) Tried using different cables, made sure there was a secure connection, unplugged other components to see if it was a power issue (Corsair HX 750 PSU) and still didn't come on. Plugged just the pump into a different PSU and it came right on. In the midst of this I had been waiting on a Lampton FC8 fan controller to come in the mail. Once it did I put all the rad fans into the controller and then the 8 fans or the pump wouldn't come on but the rest of the computer did.  assuming my PSU wasn't big enough, I got a corsair AX1500i, put it all together and still no working pump.

Any help would be appreciated

Like I said before I am new to the site so I apologize if I pulled any noob moves...

PC specs -

Intel core i5 4960k

EVGA Z87 FTW MOBO

corsair Vengeance Pro Series 2133MHz

EVGA GTX 970 SC GPU

Storage - Samsung 850 EVO SSD 500GB x2 - Intel 730 SSD SERIES 480 GB - WD Red 3TB NAS HDD

Did you ever let the pump run dry? Is the pump making any weird noises?

cant tell if this is a serious question or not. Yes I turned it on. the pump worked fine for about three days and then stopped.

It wasn't that serious.

Sounds to me like you have a dead pump.

The D5 vario isn't controlled through the fan controller. That 3 pin cable is only for RPM reporting.

Make sure the fan controller has it's power connection in solid and try maybe just the fans.

d5b-3_800.jpg  The vario is controlled with this little red circle. 1 is slow mode, 5 is fast mode. The pump NEEDS molex for power.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. The True Path of the Feathered One. ~ Dimboble-dubabob III

The pump isnt plugged into the fan controller, only the rad fans are. The pump molex cable is plugged straight in to the PSU
