Water cooling loop

Tony N

Hey guys i have a few questions about water cooling and planning a loop for myself, thats why i put it in the planning section but if a mod wants to move it to WC later thats fine. Anyway i have never done a loop before and really want to go WC because i love the look and the performance seems awesome. So what parts would you guys recommend for a beginner at a price point that wont break the bank. For right now i would just like to cool my CPU but i would be doing a GPU also once i get a good one that is worthy. Thanks for any help.

System Specs.

i5 3570k 4.2 w/ Thermaltake 2.0 Pro

ASrock Z77 Extreme 6

8gb (2x4) G Skill ripjaws x 1600

GTX 550ti 2gb (Going to wait till next gen GPUs the 550 does what i want for the moment)

Corsair TX650w PS

Zalman Z11 Plus (Going to get a Midi R2 or C70 this case sucks)

If you have any Qs or suggestions for me ask!

EDIT: Location is USA

depends on the case. if you go for a C70 you could probably get 240mm in the roof and another in the front without much effort some modding a 360 would go in the front.

as for parts:

CPU block: Switech Apogee HD/XSPC Raystorm

Radiators: Swiftech, XSPC or Thermochill

Pump: XSPC D5

Ressevior: XSPC D5 res/ Switech MCRES Micro Rev2

Tubing: Basically anything will do

Fittings: Compression fittings are a must Bitspower make some good ones

Fans: in a green C70 NF-F12's any other case or colour Silverstone AP121s

Coolant: Distilled water + Biocide/kill coil

give a man a gun he robs a bank, give a man a bank he robs the world

You can also check out

performance-pcs.com

That is where I get a lot of my watercooling parts.

Yes 500 dollars for a brand new WC loop sounds right.

So do WC parts ever really get "out dated" if i were to buy it at different times depending on sales

No WC parts don't get out dated except the GPU/CPU/Motherboard water blocks. Things like Radiators, pumps, res, and fittings are all reusable as long as you didn't damage them in a previous build.
