I would definitely suggest using the PCIe card over the USB adapters. USB adapters always seem to get strangely hot with extended use. All the ones I have ever used anyways. And a PCIe card you can install and not have to worry about plugging it in and Unplugging later. And trying not to use a wore out Phillips head because with the small screws you want them to fit on the end right without having to get frustrated.

Can be found on my profiIe

Make sure the screwdriver is not magnetic it can seriously mess up components

magnetics screwdrivers wont do any harm to any components, they do not have enough strength to do any damage. although i wouldnt go waving them over my hard drive, just in case.

1. Standard Phillips head is more than enough. (having a magnetized screwdriver will help you a lot to get those mother board screws in to the tight coners, and dont worrie about causing damaged to ur stuff. )

2. get a PCIe wifi card. but if you have bought a ASUS P8Z77-V (or higher) series mother board it comes with onboard wifi. there are other mother boards as well with this features. but i can not remember them right now. but the ASUS mother boards are very good and have good features across the board

PCIe have a much better range and is not be limited by the interface like the USB one will be.

it will most probably be a much more elegant solution.

hope this helps

Magnetic screwdrivers won't do anything to components. This isn't the 80s, all HDDs made by good retailers (like WD) include magnetic shielding in all their drive now.

Even then, I'd think HDDs are more resilient to being wiped than credit cards, and you need a very powerful rare earth magnet to wipe a credit card (source: mythbusters tried it).
