Question about SLI

So.. I can get a 760 for like.. 80 bucks now. I have one, but the question is more of the motherboard. So My top PCI x16 slot is pretty much ded-chan, atleast when I tried using it. However, it still seemed to have power so I'm not sure if that meant anything. Will that effect SLI at all? Or will I need to replace my motherboard? Because if thats the case, I'd rather just put that towards a more expensive card.

It'd be worth selling the 760 and buying an RX 480 if you can.

 

If you have more than 1 working PCIe 16x slot then you'll be fine with SLI.

I'm only running on 8x as it is  z77 board.

I meant two working 16x sized slots, they can be wired 8x or 4x.

Ohyeah 3: forgot about dat. Sadly I only have two on the whole board.. didnt choose wisely when I made it =w= one card it will be, i guess
