Best non-Samsung Android Phone

So basically I have no idea where to start looking for phones these days. I've had a couple Galaxy phones in a row (currently S5). I'm tired of Samsung bloatware (and I've had some bad update issues) and battery life is important to me (resolution not so much). 

 

What would you guys recommend? Price isn't really a concern, I just need to be able to get it from Verizon and it needs to be Android.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The 6P is  a great phone its got minimal to no bloatware and its got somewhere along the lines of a 3450 mAh battery which competes with the S7

if you dont mind a sub par screen no fingerprint reader or the BS about their "Shatter Proof Screen" which frankly broke when he (my friend, owner of the phone) dropped it from less than a meter

Huh. I've heard pretty good things about the Droid Turbo 2 though.

Well the HTC 10 sounds like it'd be a good option too.
