Hi, How do i overclock  Intel Pentium G3258 , and what settings am i going to turn up?

i had a g3258 myself

Basics:

Increase the clockspeed up to ~4,2 Ghz depending on your cooler. The higher you go the more noise it will produce.

I higly recommend to change the vcore too because it will run with to high voltages else. Mine was running at 4,1 ghz at ~1,26 vcore. Dont go above 1,3 vcore.

Just google overclock g3258 and you will find plenty videos.

ok thx

its pretty easy and you cant make anything wrong

If you set the vcore to low then you will get a bluescreen or you pc wont boot at all (cmos rest needed)

I personally would start with 1,3 vcore and set the cpu frequence to my overclocking goal. Then run some stress tests and see if its stable, if so reduce the vcore until you will get crashes.

The lower the vcore the better because it means less heat and thus less fan noise.

Update the BIOS first off. I was on the verge of pulling my hair out trying to OC mine the first time around, only to find out it was from outdated BIOS.

Secondly, if you have the stock cooler, set the voltage around 1.2V and just see how high you can take the multiplier while staying at or below 70C. Personally, I was able to do 4.4, but your results will vary.

If you have something like a 212 EVO or TX3, set the voltage at 1.35, and just like I said with stock, see how far you can go.
