Hello, I have just recently finished my new computer, and followed Linus tips about getting a sound card.

I am very happy about the sound on the DGX, but sorrily I am not able to get my microphone to work with the sound card.

I get clear SOUND from both the front panel jacks (which I have connected to the sound card itself), and from the card itself.

If anyone have any tips or ideas about how i should go forward to get the microphone to work, I would really appreciate it.

What i have tried this far:

-both the front and back inputs

-latest version of Xonar dgx audio senter

-turning of HD sound in the bios (which made my bios A corrupt, I have no idea how to fix it...)

-testing with multiple microphones ( when I used the loudest microphone I got, I was able to record sound, on the left side only, if I screamed directly into it...)

Again, any help would be appreciated :D

Type 'Sound' in the start menu, under 'Control Panel' open 'Sound' go to 'Recording'. Right click anywhere & tick both 'Show disable devices & Show disconnected devices. And make sure the soundcard is enabled (right click > enable). Else, you may need to turn up the gain (volume) for the mic in the Xonar DGX software. Other than that I can't help you.
