A lot of time you have many programs that are not used on your computer that are still running, and this slows down your computer. I would try to delete some unused programs before you go with a total reinstall. If that does not work, then make sure you have no photos or things on your computer before you reinstall.

I am not sure how easy boot camp is, I have never used it. It should just be a few minutes longer. If you need help with installing windows using boot camp there are many great tutorials.

If you got a lot of junk on your computer like those unwanted software programs and malware, that could be the reason. check add or remove program tab to remove those junk software programs and see it that helps. Try Revo Uninstaller as it will help you also clean up the directory for more junk. hope it helps ^.^

If you're installing Windows for the first time, use a full installation (not an upgrade) disc or disk image.
  1. Check System Requirements. ...
  2. Get a Windows disk image. ...
  3. Open Boot Camp Assistant. ...
  4. Format your Windows partition. ...
  5. Install Windows. ...
  6. Restart your computer.

If you have a bug that makes you unable to play videos, I think it would be faster to just reinstall windows from a USB and use boot camp assistant.
