Hi all, (first post here xD)

My computer audio output isn't sending sound to my speakers, but detects every time I plug it in and out. So I guess the onboard audio isn't fully dead?

(I don't have sound card and use the onboard audio on m/b)

It has been working fine until this morning, when I disconnected th audio cable for the front input and connected again. (To tidy up cabling, also disconnected a USB 2.0 cable, but probz not relevant to audio)

Have tried reinstalling drivers, trying the speakers on different devices (it works), and troubleshooting using windows troubleshooter. No Result.. :(

My front output isn't working too.. ? I checked the audio cable and it is firmly connected to the motherboard. Haven't actually tried the front panel though. So don't know if it actually works.

Any suggestions or advice is appreciated.

Thanks ;)

When playing sound does the mixer show any audio activity? And is the correct output chosen? If so, i would venture to say the 3.5mm audio jack is bad. Try outputting from some other device (mp3 player) and see if you have sound. GL

Yes, the speaker is working fine, I tried with my iPhone and it works., might be the audio jack, but I wonder what caused it to break, it used to work..

Yea, it doesn't work in the front panel.. I bought a sound card (Asus Xonar 7.1 DS) and the speakers work fine, but haven't tried front panel and not sure if it works with the sound card, but sure that it doesn't work without the sound card. The cable is plugged into the motherboard at the bottom left

if you have a soundcard, it disables onboard audio, wich your frontpanel jacks use.
honestly, nobody buys a soundcard and still uses frontpanel jacks.
