I have been trying to configure the fan speed on my computer now to mixed results. My computer is still loud as hell after I replaced the stock 120 and 140 fans that came with my case with four Corsair af120 Quiet Edition fans. My computer is still too loud when browsing the web and I figured I would dive into my motherboard (MSI Z97S SLI Krait) BIOS to configure the fan speeds. I lowered the RPM of the three auxiliary to between 400-500 RPM but the two fans hooked up on my CPU header are running at anywhere between 800-900 RPM (loud) despite my non overclocked 4790k sitting at 35 C at the package according to both HWMonitor and my motherboard BIOS. I decided to download SpeedFan which allowed me to control the auxiliary fans but again, not the loud CPU fans. Anybody have suggestions?
