Alright. I am probably the biggest pc noob on this sight so forgive me for my bad spelling and stupidity please.

so my problem is this. i have a pc and i'm about to buy parts for a new one but i'm trying to use the same psu, optical drive and hdd from the old one, in the new build and buy a spare psu and hdd to go with the other m/o ram cpu and gpu so i can sell it.

I have a 1tb hdd and i'm getting another plus a 250 gb ssd for windows 10 and some steam games. This is my first pc build where i have to deal with softwear things like a bios. i want to move my windows 10, steam and a few other things to my new ssd then the rest of my files to my new hdd. I want to old hdd to keep a copy of windows and be able to plug it into the second pc i intend to sell without having to set the pc up again. What do i do.

P.S As you can probably tell i'm really lazy and want to get out of doing as much installing as possible.

specs of new pc

i5 6600k

MSI Z170 A SLI Plus

Thermaltake riing cpu cooler

MSI GTX 960 Gaming 2gb

samsung 750 evo 120gb ssd

samsung 1tb baracuda

Corsair CS650M

The lazy way is moving your files, games, and whatever else onto a storage device and reinstalling your OS on the new drive.

The HARD way is going through the registry, selectively exporting relevant keys, noting the installation directories, copying the program files, ect, ect, ect.

You pretty much have to do this the way you don't want to.
