My father was upgrading my SSD firmware (apparently you could do that) with Samsungs own software and everything well with 500 GB 850 evo, so moved on to my system drive 120GB 840 evo. The program uptated drives firmware. You have to reboot pc after every update, but my system could no boot.

At first BIOS didn't see at all the 120GB ssd, but then after unplugging HDD and the other ssd it appeared there. After that pc booted normally, but i didnt have my files. In Boot menu there was "Windows boot manager (evo 840 120gb...)", if I remember correctly these was no such option before. So only way system booted when there was only one ssd(system drive) plugged or with 2 ssds.

We did bios reset. After that pc would boot at all, not even into BIOS. We tried booting withoud GPU, without any usb devices. After that we took the BIOS battery out - no results.

We thought it would mobo which is ?broken?

Any suggestions?
