Am looking for a case that meets these requirements:

  • No big flashy branding across the front.
  • No top mount fan points.
  • No usb ports or any IO on the top.
  • A flat plain top.
  • A plain, flat, side panel with no vents above the CPU socket (one over the expansion slots is ok).
  • Two front air intakes, but one is okay if there is a side mount by the expansion slots.
  • Can support the height of my 158.50 mm Cooler Master 212 plus.
  • Can support 285 mm/11.25 inch graphics cards without the removal of it's HDD cages.
  • At least one 5 1/4 inch bay.
  • Room for five 3.5" drives, or four 3.5" and two 2.5" drives, or three 3.5" and four 2.5" drives.
  • PSU can be top or bottom mounted, but I prefer bottom.
  • Support full sized ATX boards, and has at least 7 expansion slot.
  • Uses 120mm fan mounts.

Liked, but not required:

  • One 3.5" external bay.
  • Two USB 3.0 ports on the front
  • The more front IO, to hook up to the front IO pins, the merrier.
  • Filters for all the intakes
  • The more sleek, plain looking, and smaller, the better.

I have a cat, and currently can not let him into the room with my battle station as I have no case. I'd guess he would, as cats seem to do, sit on top of whatever case I got (kinda want him to as well). So IO, fan mounts, and anything else weirdly forming the top are all to be avoided. Same reason why I'd want filtered intakes. I can just buy aftermarket intakes, but if the case comes with them that's always a plus.

Closest thing I can find is the Antec NSK4100. Any other suggestions?

Big-ol' vent right about the CPU socket.

I have a full sized ATX board, and that is a micro-ATX case.

Doesn't have enough HDD mounts.

My cat always steps on the power button of my case, its quite annoying, and i need to have my top vents covered as well xD

maybe?,i think in this one you can cover the top vents and just not use the fan mounting points:

Yeah I also have this unreasonable fear that someone is going to pour/spill liquid on top of the case. That or someone setting something on top of it that should never be put on top of a computer, let alone right over vents. Am super hesitant about even covers though. A lot of them just use weak magnets to hold it self on. Magnets, that the jumping weight of an animal could easily displace. Begs me to ask the question that if there's already mount point for it, why don't they use those or at least make it an option to use screws?

It's not like I'd ever need top mount fan slots since I never plan to liquid cooler. Unless someone makes a case with dual bottom mounted fans as well. I'd prefer bottom to top airflow instead of front to back. I've seen a few cases with it, but they also both have front and back mount spots to, ruining the OCD perfection that would be a straight solid flow of air.

That in mind I keep mine on top of the desk. So... will definitely take the 300r into consideration anyway. It's cover seems to recess pretty deep into it, aiding the magnets.

Still looking for more ideas.
