Hi there,
I bought a new WD Blue 2tb 5400 rpm and it isn't showing up in Windows 8.1, not in My PC neither in disk management. But it appears in CrystaldiskMark Info and in the BIOS
What do you think?

Did you create the disk when you opened disk management? Because if you did it'll ask you create a new volume.

what do you mean by creating the disk?. When i click on populate in device manager, a popup appears saying "volume information on this disk cannot be found"

Hey there Fata1000 :)

What BIOS settings are you using? Is the drive visible in Device Manager?

Could you post a screenshot of your Disk Management?

You could try other SATA cables and ports and see if the result is different. Do you have all your drivers and OS updated?

I resolved it with a Sata to usb adapter, once I conected through usb it appeared in disk management and I could format it, then when I plugged it again in sata ports it showed up. Thanks for the replies.

I'm happy to see you've resolved it!

The drive may have had a problem with the partition table which got fixed during the reformat.

Feel free to post back if you have other problems or questions :)
