GTX 1070 PSU

Go to solution Solved by HKZeroFive,

EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G2 sounds like it might be the PSU for you.

So boys and gals, here I am, with the last unknown part of my pretty close future build. It'll consist of the following parts:

Core I5 6600k

CM Hyper 212 evo/X

Asus Strix gtx 1070

gigabyte hd3p mobo

samsung evo basic 250gb ssd

Fractal Define R5

Adata XPG Z1 8gb (single or dual channel, idk yet)

Aaaaaand... THE PSU

So, with the following parts, what psu would I need? I plan of overclocking the cpu (although not THAT much with that cooler) and the gpu (fingers crossed for 2ghz) so how much would i need? Pascal is pretty efficient soo yeah.

Oh, also, I want a fully modular psu, because with such a gorgeous case i do not want some ketchupy mustard action going on the 24pin and 8pin connectors and I want it to be cheap ('round 100$) so no corsair rm here.

PLEASE NOT THAT I DO NOT LIVE IN AMERICA, SO PARTS HERE ARE FAR MOOOOOOORE EXPENSIVE!

  • CPU
    Intel Core I5 6600k @ 4.4ghz
  • Motherboard
    Gigabyte HD3p z170
  • RAM
    Kingston HyperX Fury @ 3666mhz
  • GPU
    Asus Strix GTX 1070 @ 2100mhz
  • Case
Fractal Design Define R5 Windowed Blackout edition
  • Storage
    Samsung 850 EVO 250gb
  • NEW Seagate Skyhawk 2TB
  • PSU
    Corsair RM650x
  • Display(s)
    Dell U2414H
  • Cooling
    CM Hyper 212 EVO
  • Keyboard
    Logitech G810
  • Mouse
    Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum
  • Sound
Generic Dell Speakers and Razer Kraken USB
  • Operating System

Agreed  on the PSU. I would also highly recommend NOT getting the ASUS GPU. THey have horrible QA with there GPU's and just as bad RMA/Customer service.

Check out the PSU whitelist in my signature. If anything in yellow in my signature exists in your country for less than 100 then also look into those.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

What do you mean by QA? Also, RMA and customer service don't really matter to me as the card will be bought from america

Not for SLI (you'd probably want 650W for that) but the build will only need 350W under full load and heavily overclocked. You're good.
