CS:GO Hardware

Apollo Refugio

So i'm building a PC for light gaming such as Rocket League, CS:GO, and probably Battlefield 4 but Battlefield is a maybe. Mainly for CS:GO and Battlefield 4, should i drop most of my budget on a good CPU but a decent GPU, maybe an R7 370 or GTX 750 ti since they are around the same price, while having an i5 6500. Or should i balance it out by getting an i5 6400 but with an GTX 950. Eitherway I will be getting 8 GB of RAM. I plan to play around 1280x1024 for CS:GO and maybe 2 levels lower than 1920x1080. Thanks

If you want to go with an I5, I woulds just get a r9 480... When you can find one.  My pc can run most games with an I3, so Id get an I3-6100, 8gb dr4(make sure to get a ddr4 MOBO) and a 950 or amd 370.  For rocket league and Cs:go that should be more than enough for you at 1080p, and Battlefield would run, just not max settings,.

CPU - Intel I3-6100 Motherboard - MSI Z170-A PRO RAM G.SKILL NT Series 8gb 2400MZ DDR4 GPU - Power Color R9 380X Case - NZXT Source 220 Window Storage - 1TB Western Digital Blue PSU - Corsair CX500 OS - Windows 10 Pro

I will play Battlefield 4 if my PC could run it. My budget is $600 dollars. So from there, if the $600 computer can't run Battlefield 4, I'm fine with that.

I'll would go with the i5 to be safe but the i3 could run it especially if your going to run it at lower than 1920x1080p but at 1080p the i3 might stuggle

Go for a lower end cpu and spend the extra on a gpu. Just my opinion.
