You can get a 6600k for about $225 at Jet with the 15% promo code if you're in the US. Pair it with a z170 and the build will be the same price with better performance. You'd need to change the memory to DDR4 as well. You might also want to get a better power supply. An EVGA 650w GQ would be the next cheapest thing that I know of.
