I have 2 options, either the gigabyte gtx 1070 g1 gaming or the msi gtx 1070 gaming x, is there any difference at all? Which one is better or are they the same? Both are the same price right now.

All cards in the same family will likely perform within 1-2% of each other so no real reason to choose A or B. Go for whatever looks good with your build. I like MSI personally but they were a bit shady in the review samples they sent so I am avoiding them on my buy personally. But its a personal choice. Only card manufacture I would 100% stay away from is Asus, they have horrible QA and even worse customer service/RMA experience.

The Gigabyte G1 Gaming only has one 8-pin power connector, whilst the MSI Gaming X has an additional 6-pin power connector on top of the pre-existing one 8-pin power connector for better power delivery. Then again, it's not a big deal if you're not an overclocker.

In terms of cooling, the Twin Frozr VI ever so slightly edges out the Windforce in terms of thermals but it's a very small difference.

In terms of the companies themselves, MSI customer service has been pretty good from my experience and that seems to be the case for others from what I've heard. I'm not sure if the same can be said of Gigabyte because I've had no experience with them.

If it was my decision, I'd personally go with MSI.
