What CPU do I buy?

Alright so I'm looking to build a new rig and I want to make it a fast computer. What would be the best CPU for the job around the 150 - 200 dollar mark for good gaming but great performance in adobe programs such as photoshop. As mentioned I want a fast computer so the help is appreciated

The 6600k is the best around that range right now.

Probably an i5-6500 if $200 is a hard cap. If you can stretch your budget a bit, a Xeon E3 1231v3 would suit you nicely.

total budget is about 800 - 1500 but wanting to throw in watercooling and ssd's

Make sure to quote or tag people, otherwise they won't see that you've replied to them.

 

If you go with a Xeon or a locked CPU, you won't need water cooling. There's really nothing in your price range that makes sense for a high-end AIO unless you stretch the processor budget for a 6600K. That's a pretty wide range overall--looking to stay towards the bottom or hit the top? At the low end, you're talking about a locked i5. At the high end, 6700K, maybe even 5820K for your use case.
