I am getting really frustrated with fan xpert 3 but I am sure it is user error. I have a Phanteks Enthoo Luxe case, Asus Z170 deluxe mobo and an enermax cpu cooler. The enermax cooler is plugged into the cpu_fan header and the chassis fan where all the fans hook up in the back of the case is hooked up to cha_fan4 header. When I go into fan xpert 3 and have it try to show me where all the fan locations are, everytime I silence all fans it always shuts down every fan except the cpu fan. What am I doing wrong??? I should note that I can change the fan speeds with the app.

Make sure your not setting your speed too low to the point where the fans aren't capable of starting, there is also an auto-stop function if you set it below that rate. Also make sure your headers are setup appropriately for 3 pin DC voltage control and 4 Pin PWM for the fans that are connected.

Can you expand upon this a little more or point me in the right direction where I can learn more? All of my fan connections are 3 pin. Is this change something I do in the BIOS?

Yes that needs to be configured in the BIOS as DC voltage control if all of your fans are 3 pin, but that being said you shouldn't have been able to control any fans if the headers were all defaulted to PWM.
