Older top-of-the-line makes much more sense if its got a GPU. Let me read up on it a bit and get back to you.

If you can score a 500$ laptop with a 940m or above like @austinnotduncan did than get that. If the laptop has integrated graphics that aren't Intel Iris get the aforementioned 5 year old one.
