SLI VR

So does anyone have any experience with SLI and VR (Oculus Rift)? I've heard some mixed reviews on it and was wondering what you guys have experienced. My Rift should be here tomorrow (finally).

Like anything with SLI/Crossfire, it depends on the game. It is best to get 1 GPU than 2 GPUs which you SLI/Crossfire if you don't want to deal with any headaches, and more consistent expected performance between games of the same 'caliber'

Thanks, I guess I was reading that standard SLI in VR decreases performance and introduces more latency. The proper way to handle SLI is through VRWorks which not a lot of games utilize. I was just wondering how true this was in regards to SLI performance vs single card and if it truly is better on single card. I already have 2 980TIs both can sit over 1500mhz. Obviously I can test myself tomorrow just wanted to know what to prepare for.

Not a single game ive tried supports SLI for VR. If you enable SLI it messes up the image.

Running SLI (2x GTX 970s) while using my Rift hasn't messed up the image or anything like that. What I have noticed is a little smoother performance with it disabled, and using one of the cards for physx.
