Drill Press

I am a student in college and i am in charge of finding components in order to start up a manufacturing company and was having trouble finding a drill press that automatically goes up and down and I would like it to be able to be connected to a computer so that I could have a program running the belt that is feeding the part into a drill press and the drill press be able to talk to each other. If not then I would like to be able to program it to drill every couple of seconds. It doesn't need to be a very strong drill press I am drilling through a thin sheet of plastic.

Yeah a CNC is what OP is describing. Wood ones are cheap and you can get a kit for them metal ones are a lot more and you have to deal with oil

cnc just stands for computer numerical control but a cnc router would probably work for what he is trying to do with some work and custom parts

Generally they will be 3 axis. It seems like what you may need is probably some kind of custom production line machine that probably would not be cheap. You could always try to make a drill press cnc but you would also probably need to figure out a work hold down system for it as well.
