Ah okay so I need to rethink the motherboard,(either go for the more expensive Z107 or a cheaper H board) but everything else seems okay or?
Thanks for the help btw

yup

I currently have a 2012 Samsung series 5 Ultrabook (i5 dual core) and a Dell USB 3.0 Desk Dock which I have two Asus VC239H (23") monitors because there is only 1 HDMI port on the laptop. This setup works ok(ish), the CPU begins to chock running at 100% most of the time, so was looking at getting a desktop to replace my laptop.

I use my laptop for Spotify, Chrome open with multiple word/excel files open at a time for Uni work, no gaming as I use my PS4.

I'm looking for a system under £350 with expansion room for future upgrades, I have a list of components below which I thought might be a good system but any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

£30 Case - Fractal core 1000
£83 M/Board - MSI z97M-G43
https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-Z97M-G43-LGA1150-Motherboard-USB3-0/dp/B00K8K8VGM

£99 CPU - i3-6100
£34 Power supply - EVGA 430
£26 RAM - 8GB stick Hyper x black (single stick so I can add in a second later)
£33 SSD - Sandisk 120GB (I have a 500gb HDD already which I can put in)
£25 Software - Kinguin Windows 10
Total - £330

*Either M-ATX or ITX cases boards I don't mind but don't think I need a full size ATX rig without water cooling or anything large like that to take up the room.
Intel or AMD I'm not fussy as long as the performance is good*

why go for a z97 chipset if you dont wanna overclock get a cheap H platform

When life gives you drugs you sell them for a living.

Is it worth spending more now on getting a board which can overclock, so when I decide to upgrade I can just get a new CPU which can overclock? Or just go for the cheaper board
