For overclocking? and gaming

In your earlier post I noted a few things you could do to make your build better.

If you want a cheap board get a MSI Krait Gaming or AsRock Pro4.

Get a RX 480 in two days when it is launch, now doubt will it beat a 970 for a cheaper cost.

Getting a EVGA GS/GQ/G2 will be cheaper and just as good as the Corsair RMx.

i7-6700k  Cooling: Deepcool Captain 240EX White GPU: GTX 1080Ti EVGA FTW3 Mobo: AsRock Z170 Extreme4 Case: Phanteks P400s TG Special Black/White PSU: EVGA 850w GQ Ram: 64GB (3200Mhz 16x4 Corsair Vengeance RGB) Storage 1x 1TB Seagate Barracuda 240GBSandisk SSDPlus, 480GB OCZ Trion 150, 1TB Crucial NVMe
(Rest of Specs on Profile)

I can't wait for 2 days from now when all this AMD fanboying over the RX 480 gets a real kick in the teeth.... Don't get me wrong, its going to be a great card, ESPECIALLY for its price, (its so affordable I may get one JUST to see how good it truly is, even though i have 980ti) but I've heard some outlandish claims for it such as 2 480's beating a single 1080.

I'm not saying its going to be better than 970. I'm not saying its going to be worse. I'm just saying there is a limit to how much power they can pack into a GPU for 200 bucks. People seem to think they're just going to throw magical fairy dust into these GPU's and exterminate Nvidia lol. I CANT WAIT FOR BENCHMARKS THO, FOR REAL.

And yes, your motherboard is decent for overclocked gaming. good choice, but you should probably go RX480 instead of 970.

What is wrong with Asus? I've been hearing alot of Asus and Gigabyte GPU hate recently. Is there any specific reason why?

I don't think that anyone hate Asus's GPU. It is just that they do not have a very good quality aftermarket cooler on it. And they charge you premium.

I am owning one GTX780 from Asus , non reference one. I have to take it out every few weeks, coz even there is a little bit of dust on it, (and it will) the fan sometimes become super loud and it just sounds like something is jamming it. But it is not.

Listen what other ppl say about Asus gpu. I like Gigabyte though. Used to own a GTX660, used it for four years, never had an single issue.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

Thats why I'm asking you for your input. I've heard alot of people say are against Asus GPU's, but very few people actually give any reason for why. Just feels like one of those stereotypes that formed for a largely unjustifiable reason. But I shall take your experience into account as I continue to investigate such issues! =)
