Missing operating system?

Go to solution Solved by The Salt Is REAL,

Finally fixed! RAID turned it self off in the BIOS

I'm getting a "Missing operating system" error right after I boot up my PC, it won't show the BIOS bootup screen. I think this may have been caused by Windows running a chkdsk on my RAID 0 but I'm not sure. Please help! Thank you for the support!

EDIT: I can now get into BIOS and the drives are detected but the RAID 0 is not appearing and all temp/fan speed values etc. show N/A and I can't move my mouse

Running a chkdsk shouldn't do anything to your OS except, well, check it. Was that the last thing you did before you got the Missing OS message?

OCed the RAM but that was causing a different screen that I fixed now. The RAID array isn't even detected in my BIOS anymore.

Yeah chkdsk screwed up one of my old PC's too, it should just be removed from Windows

It broke the graphics drivers, and Acer refused to give me them.

Yep, that laptop now sits abandoned. And this one is going the same way, based on windows 10 removing the drivers. My iGPU no longer supports openGL...
