Hey guys so i made my own pc last spring and it has an i5-3570k, msi-g45 mobo, gtx 660, corsair 650w psu, 8gb of ram, 128gb ssd, 1 tb hdd, windows 8, and a nzxt phantom 410 case. I am quite proud of my first build especially because im only 17 and i saved up a lot to drop all of that on a pc. It handles everything so far very well. However, with new games such as bf4 coming out im starting to feel as if my pc might not be very future proof for gaming. I want to be playing games for years to come and im also interesting in beginning to record and stream. Would getting a second gtx 660 be the best choice for an upgrade or should i replace the one i have with a gtx 770 or maybe a 680. I would like to be able to max out all games that are out as well as have a second monitor for browsing etc. Which would be the best gpu for me to go to and would my mobo and cpu be able to handle it well also would i need to look for better ways to cool my case better( right now im using a stock cooler for my cpu because i dont overclock.) Also would i have to upgrade my cpu? if you have the time i would also be interesting in finding out if getting a monitor that can play in resolution higher than 1080p is worth it.

you think adding a second 660 would be stronger than a single 770

yes 660 SLi ( which is what im doing ) will beat a 770 by quite a distance , 660's scale very well in SLi

thats good that it is more powerful because it would be cheaper too. but adding a second 660 would that help future proof my pc and will i need to get a new power supply i have 650w right now

650W be fine, as long as you don't have some crazy overclock on that 3570K or tons of HDD's

Ok, then you don't need any more case fans because they are blower style cards. More fans will use more power and put more stress on your psu, so ur cards are perfect.

yeah they are open ones with two fans. hmmm alright because i have one fan on the back, one fan on the front and one on the top already. i guess i could get another on top and on front. im feeling like i might need to go to a 750w psu by the end of this

You don't need a new psu, but maybe in a year you will need one. If you have a slot for a side fan that would be good for an exhaust fan.
