Blower GTX 1080

Go to solution Solved by DELTAprime,

I have the RVZ02 that your case is based on. Silverstone actually recommend open fan coolers for the RVZ02 so I suggest you hit up Silverstone support and see if it's the same deal for your case (I can't see why they wouldn't). I have a Asus Strix GTX 1080 OC and it tops out at 73c, a whole 10c cooler than the FE. Note that I did have to remove a structural support bracket from the case while installing the Asus as it's a rather wide card.

EDIT: just looked up the manual for your case, just like mine they recommend open fan coolers. So since I can run a Strix at 73c at over 2ghz you shouldn't have an issue.

Hi i was wondering if anyone in the community has gotten their hands on a ASUS TURBO-GTX1080-8G or MSI AERO 1080

I had been searching for a blower style 1080 and just wanted know if anyone here has any experience with its tempertures and acouistics.

Not considering a better cooler cuz i have a silverstone ML08 case. (it has no case fans so hot air in the case is a big problem)

wouldnt be expecting to overclock in a case like that aswell.

I spend too much on my PC. Then I spend even more on my Sim Rig. Damn, this stuff's expensive.

wow awsome information. THX if that's the case then I'd go for an open fan cooler instead.

by the way do you place ur case vertically or horonzontally?
