GTX 570 not detected in my PC, works in friends PCs, other GPUs work fine in mine

I've been having this issue for a while now and have tried my friends and other forum posts looking for help with this. This is a budget build so new parts aren't an a good option.

My graphics card stopped being detected in my PC after a game crash in DS3, I tried updating all of the software on my PC including the bios for the z68 with no success. This put me into the UEFI bios 2.10 when I was on 1.70 when the problem started. I also tried 2.20 and 2.30 with no results.

My graphics card works in my friends computers (I have tried 3 so far) but not in my own. Using both UEFI and non-UEFI bios on their systems.

Other graphics cards I have tried work in all slots on both motherboards I now have. (2x STRIX GTX 970 4GB, older low/mid tier AMD PCI-E and PCI cards)

The slot the GPU is plugged into shows 0x in the bios when plugged into the Asus board and offers no display on either board even when PCI-E is selected as the priority.

CSM is on in the Asus Boot Bios but doesn't help.

  • GPU: PNY GTX 570 XLR8 Enthusiast Edition 1280MB
  • CPU: i5-2500k
  • Motherboard 1: Asrock Z68 Pro3-M
  • Motherboard 2: Asus P8Z77 LK
  • TEST GPU1: ATI RADEON X850 PRO
  • TEST GPU2/3: ASUS STRIX GTX 970
  • TEST GPU4: ATI RADEON 9250
  • OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit
  • PSU: Antec Earthwatts 500

TRIED: Linux boot usb, different PCIe slots, downgrading BIOS, and a completely separate motherboard. I have also tried CSM and forcing PCIE as the video option.

Did you try downgrading the bios version or trying another PCI express port?

Have tried going back to the 1.70 on the Z68 with no results. Also tried all 3 PCI ports.

What about resetting all the settings in the BIOS?

I've also tried both of these with no results. Says 0x in whatever slot I put it in, in both motherboards. Gen 1, 2 or Auto do not work. Defaults have no effect either.
