Network Issues - Need Help Urgently!

I am having a arecurring problem, almost every day. My internet disconnects intermittently at random times with "No Network Access" yellow triangle LAN icon in the system tray.

Checking the event viewer reveals DHCPv6-Client events with the inormation;

Quote

Router Advertisement settings have been changed on the network adapter 2. The current M - Managed Address Configuration flag is false and the O - Other Stateful Configuration flag is true. User Action: If you are seeing this event frequently, then it could be due to frequent change in M and O flag settings on the router in the network. Please contact your network administrator to have it resolved.

There have been 537 of these events in total and these correspond to the network drop outs. I would appreciate any help into resolving these issues as they are particularly annoying; requiring disconnecting from the router, swapping LAN ports or resettiing my netsession.

Well something is running a DHCPv6 server, probably your router, and messing stuff up.

And somehow it keeps changing mode? I'm not very familiar with DHCPv6 and afaik when you have a false M flag and a true O flag your dhcpv6 router is running in stateless mode. Issue is that's how far my knowledge goes...

I would mess with the DHCPv6 router or just turn it off and go back to regular DHCP with ipv4 adresses.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

I highly suggest you just to turn of IPv6 altogether if you don't use it.

If you need IPv6, you can tell us more about the router or network configuration.

I have a SKY SR101 fibre router. There is an option to enable/disable DHCPv6 Server, which says

Quote

Your Sky Hub is set by default as a DHCP IPv6 (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol ) Server, which provides the IPV6 configuration for all the devices that are connected to it. Router will provide only network settings to connected devices.

Could this be the problem? Should I disable it or keep it enabled?

Are you sure you are not using IPv6 right?

You can always disable IPv6 on your PC only if you don't want to mess with your router config:

I believe it is setup correctly, this is what it looks like.

You can always try to disable IPv6, see if the problem has been fixed. Or you can set the IP address of IPv6 to be static.

I never play with it since my ISP doesn't support IPv6 to begin with.

I shall disable the IPv6 and see how it goes. If it happens again I will post back here :)
