Spoiler

Capture.PNG It says its not plugged in although it is.

So i get absolutley no sound, it happened just after swapping out the fans in my case so i could use the molex adaptors to power my other 560 Ti, that didn't work and caused a couple of failed boots but after removing the second card it worked fine. I  have the onboard sound on my p8p67 pro as well as a soundblaster sb0880.

No idea what the issue is, I've tried:

Restarting

Testing with linux mint (when i came back to windows it worked for 30 seconds with my soundcard, which is way too loud so I swapped it to see if it was working on my onboard sound, it didn't then so i returned to the sound card and it wasn't working)

loading optimised defaults in the bios

testing the cable and headphones with other devices

No idea what else to try.

Do your headphones connect with USB or are they 3.5mm audio jack? Because what I would try if I were you is if they are 3.5mm, you monitor probably has audio out, and from what I see in the picture, your monitor is connected through HDMI. Assuming they are 3.5mm, connect your headphones to the audio out on your monitor, and set the default sound device to HP LP2475w-1.

I solved the issue, it turns out the top 1x slot wasn't working and the onboard sound wasn't working at the same time. The sound card is now in the bottom X16 slot.
