Quick question about displayports

Hi, I plan on getting a monitor that has displayport v1.2. However the graphics card am getting has displayport out of v1.4.

So would that affect the display / output in any way at all?

It won't affect anything, it will run at the lowest version of the two, 1.2 in that case
