Plex Media Server Not Installing

Hi, I am trying to set up my plex media server on my laptop (I did have a successful one before my HDD died), but the installer freezes at "Processing: Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) - 14.0.23506". I got it running before, but wont install now, please help.

What version of windows are you running? Can you try searching and installing any pending windows updates that you may have.

Windows 7 - just installed it today

Try installing visual C++ separately:

And if that works, then try plex again

it's kind of frozen at about 90%
