heat problems

System info:

CPU amd athlon 760k Fblack edition with stock heat sink

MB:  GB F2A55M-S1

 

in general  - the MB from the BIOS says that the cpu is at 80+ degrees and the windows program performance test9.0 says its at 60 (just applied new thermal paste)

Witch one to trust?

generally the bios is most accurate but something is off here. maybe the sensor is differrant reseat your cooler

While in the BIOS expect to see higher temperatures as most CPUs do not throttle down in bios. Download AMD Overdrive to monitor temps in windows.

Use a different heatsink or reapply thermal paste.

Try picking up a low price Air cooler. A good one only runs about $25-30 and could make a world of difference.
