You will get better frames if you keep them in crossfire but recommend using Dxtory over msi afterburner just because it is way better in my opinion.  if you feel any lag while playing and recording, that means you need another harddrive just for recording because the harddrive is not fast enough.

i have 2 graphics card in Crossfire

 

i was wonder if there is a software out there that would allow me to use  1 card for gaming and other for recording thus breaking my crossfire ( i dont mind)

 

i just want better frames in game 

 

i currently use MSi Afterburner to record and i own 2 7770 gpu's

I'm not sure if its possible, but I remember seeing option to choose video card for capture in Open Broadcaster Softwares options. You don't need to have online streaming account since OBS can save to file also.
