1440p PC Build coming up soon... but what processor should i get?

Right, so; Whilst browsing around local hardware sites for a couple of minutes, i lost track in all the different amounts of cores, clock speeds, and sockets. Checking out a couple of Linus' video's (obviously), didn't get me much further to what i actually need. Higher clock speeds, more cores, and what features are handy dandy to have, like hyperthreading. So here i am...

What purpose? you might ask. Gaming (duhh), video recording, and rendering, the latter of the 2 happening rarely, but are nice to have anyway since i plan on using my expensive software more often. I usually play simple stuff like Farming Simulator (yes, i know...), Grow Home, Minecraft (sorry), and a little bit of GTA V, but i am okay having to turn off stuff like high quality shadows for instance. FPS goal sits around 60fps, but for me, 40fps is just the same.

Also, while i'm at it; is gaming on one screen and having something like a browser open on a second screen performance heavy? Just a question.

Budget. Don't expect too much. I'm an underaged McDonalds employee (of the month i might add), but have little to no expenses. Saving up is easy, so i can sit around €200 ($230-ish) comfortably. Where i would draw the line is €350 ($390). Don't focus on stuff like the motherboard (unless they get on the wrong side of €150 as well) or RAM i need; i know enough about them, it's just my CPU knowledge thats a bit on the rusty side.

Yeaahhh you're not going to cut it with whatever you are asking. Could be. That build is still a fantasy, and nothing has been ordered yet. Any alternatives are greatly aprecated too.

(If you want) You can give me any advice you'd like to share, or other tips i might need in my ventures of giving extraordinairy amounts of hard earned salary's to a great Tech-experience (techsperience?...). Have a nice day anyways.

Frank

Or go for an all team red build with a RX 480 or RX 490 (if that's out then). My FX 8320 and 6950 are getting a little old so I'm thinking of doing that.

You could in all honesty start gathering parts now and have it sooner.

Just as an example,

Cpu - 6600k - 220

Cpu Cooler -  CM Hyper 212 Evo - 30

Mobo - Asus Z170-A  Mobo - 150

PSU - EVGA 750GQ - 90

GPU - GTX 1070 - 420

Case- Phanteks Enthoo Pro M - 90

SSD - Samsung 850 Evo 500gb - 150

HDD - Western Digital Blue 1TB -  50

Windows 10 - 100

For roughly 1300 bucks, it'll get you everything you need, to build a capable 1440p machine. Plus there's no point in building a 1440p machine if your running a 1080p monitor, so add a couple more hundred bucks for a 24-27 inch 1440p monitor.

No it won't be. It's £600 now and the only price drops you'll get are from Christmas deals, if any. Why? Because AMD is not releasing their competitor until the next year.
