Hi I have a Compaq Presario desktop and I would like to upgrade it to run Garry's mod nicely

 

SPECS

System Model : AY030AA-ABA CQ5320F

Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 240 ~2.8GHz

RAM 3072MB

OS: Win7

Integraded Chip : NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

 

I don't know what to look at and where to start if anybody would like to help I would really appreciate it

im guessing 150 USD? anyway im not sure your getting that far on that but i would go on ebay and look for some cheep complete PC with a Core 2 Quad(make sure its quad not duo) and getting that as cheap as possible and then spending the rest on a graphics card because i dont think there is much chance of that PC runnng G-MOD nicely seeing how insane it can get when having just 50ish props in a level.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
