This would be my first ever build and I don't know if you guys name your PCs but I've dubbed this as "The Reborn" since this was all inspired to be built in my dad's old PC that he left us when he died. I figure this was a good time to try to upgrade since its also so close to Father's Day too.

I was able to keep most of the parts the same brand except for the PSU (no more Xion PSUs so I got an EVGA modular 80+ gold one), GPU (I went with an EVGA GTX 970 4GB intead of an XFX card for price; although it's the same chipset maker in NVIDIA), RAM (no more "Gell" so I went with G.SKILL 1 stick of 16GB) and now the case (from Cooler Master to Fractal). But the CPU is still intel (i7 6700) on an MSI MOBO (Z170A Pro), with a WD Blue (1TB) HDD, and (for myself) even added an SSD (120GB SP550).

So here we go!!

So excited to do this for my first time!!

The case gutted

In with the new!!

So... Later I was able to find a GTX 970 for cheap and a new Fractal 3300 case to throw it all in (and a new PSU on the cheap) all from a friend. And here is the final project in completion!!

Into the new case it goes!!

So I reoriented the fans to 2 intakes in the front end an exhaust and also flipped the PSU around so that it has its own air flow from under the case. My friend threw in the 212 EVO cooler in for free as well.

But here it is!! My very first build ever and it was soo much fun that I want to do it again (but really have no need for 2 PCs).

Thanks for checking out my first build ever!!

Thanks!! I think it was more fun and exciting to put together than actually using it lol

Thanks man! I was able to get a GTX 970 (04G-P4-2794-KR) that was only used for a couple of months for $200 from a friend
