I would like to get a dedicated 'macro keyboard' for editing,

So, Taran made a video of the 'DIY 87-Key Macro Keyboard', and I wanted to have my own for editing. However I'm not that interested in doing all that work and finding that it doesn't work. :)

Recently Lew from Unbox Therapy made a video about the Optimus Popularis Keyboard and I thought that that would be the 'dream 2nd keyboard' (if you get what I mean)

However its VERY EXPENSIVE, for a macro keyboard. http://amzn.to/22ZkWX9

So this got me thinking, I have an old iPad 3* laying around, so could I convert this to be my secondary keyboard? If I could using some software that would be great! The question is, does anyone know how I would do this???

*I think it's an iPad 3, I'm not 100% sure though.

Thanks!

there a lot of smaller 9 key macro boards. they look kind of like a numpad but they are way cheaper. but if you need a lot of buttons go for tarans solution its pretty good.

It took me some time to figure out how to setup my macro keyboard, but after some tinkering I got it to work. I just used an inexpensive Logitech keyboard.
