Current build an upgrades?

I am looking at upgrades to help with my stream. These are my current specs however I usually ONLY play CS:GO, LoL, and the odd AAA title. I have a buddy trying to sell me a EVGA 980ti sc acx 2.0 for $400. I was wondering if I should upgrade to the 980ti now or wait until I am able to grab a Gtx 1080/1070/1060. Which one do you recommend? When I stream at 720p 60fps OBS really eats at my frame rate since upgrading to the 1440p monitor. I have limited myself since I have a G-sync monitor however feel free to persuade me to go AMD. I won't be buying for 2 weeks.

-H80i (Left over from a Fx 8320 build)

-MSI B85 G41 PC mate

-Kingston Fury Blue 16GB (8x2) 1600Mhz

-Vision Tech R9 280 3GB

-650w Bronze Semi Modular Psu (Can't remember off the top of my head :(......)

-2TB Seagate 7200rpm

-240GB Crucial SSD

 

Monitor: 

-Asus PG278Q 1440p 144hz Monitor.

the 1070 should be faster and around the same price so id go with it instead. Id also try using nvidia  shadow play as then won't use any cpu/gpu and won't hurt your framerate.

400 for a 980ti isn't bad, but you could get-a-1070-for-msrp-for-slightly-etter-performance.
