ok so, i have a bit of an older system that has been upgraded threw the years and my cpu and socket is discontinued, i just wanted to know if its time to upgrade or no , also i have really weird frame drops in many games. i.e league i get 200 fps then it will drop to 12 then shoot back up to 100 or so, not in team fights or anything.

cpu- 8350 @ 4.3ghz mild over clock, asus automatic thing but i am fighting temps so i may have to come back down

gpu- msi 970, its the basic msi one with the rather crappy cooler

mobo- M5A99FX_PRO_R2.0

boot drive- wd black2 (120 gb ssd with a 1 tb laptopdrive built in, this is not very good. ssd 460 read 113 write . hdd 91 read 87 write.

mass storage. hitatchi 2 tb enterprize grade hdd. (meh its much better, 120 read 120 write.)

scratch disk. 2 hitatchi 300 gb drives (old 2.5 inch drives but fastish. there in a raid 1 and have 140 read 130 write.)

using standard h212 evo for cpu cooling

using really nice fans

case is a oven, suppose to keep it quiet, doesnt even do that and raises my temps by 10c.

but just wanted to see what you guys think. i have really weird fps problems it wont stay at a constant number, even with v sync it still doesnt it will dip. also have wicked audio un sync in games, is any assisasns creed the video will play after then the audio, i recently  reinstalled windows 8.1 pro.

did you check the temperature on your cpu while gaming?

yeah, but amd is legendary for having inaccurate temps. i have the asus suite telling me its at tjmax then i have every othere program tell me its not and i have speed fan right in the middle. btw tj max in this cpu is 60c
