Hi world,

I'm currently planning on building a custom comp which will contain,

CPU: Skylake 6700k (most probably will overclock)

GPU: GTX 1080 ASUS ROG STRIX

PSU: EVGA 750W SuperNOVA750 G2, 80 Gold

RAM: 32 GB Corsair DDR4 Vengeance BLACK (2x16gb)

M/B: ASUS z170 Deluxe

CASE: Noctis 450 White

Heres the problem, i have always used air coolers, but recently after watching multiple youtube videos, liquid cooling seems to be a better solution and is deffo cooler... My current setup has an aircooler and his horrifcally loud, especially with the crappy led fan i put in thinking they were so cool at the time. But my biggest fear is the water cooling solution to leak and all my gear to mess up... i mean im spending quite abit of money here. i heard about aio solutions which for now seem the more sfaer route however they leak too. and i wouldnt know which is a good one to get. Do i need a water cooled system i.e aio sytem or does it not matter, is it really better in performance than traditional air coolers..

Many thanks

The best air coolers are about equal with the best AIOs, but AIOs are MUCH smaller, so they fit in smaller cases.

Depending on your budget, an AIO wouldn't hurt, if you don't mind the noise.

i7 4790k | MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition | G.Skill Ripjaws X 16 GB | Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB | 2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB | MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr V | Fractal Design R4 | EVGA 650W

A gaming PC for your budget: $800 - $1000 - $1500 - $1800 - $2600 - $9001

AIOs usually have more moving parts with smaller fans, so yes, they are louder.

Here's one of the larger air coolers:

A "Hyper 212 EVO" from CoolerMaster really kinda did away with the rest of the market.  It performs VERY well, doesn't cost a lot, and is really quite, like whisper quite.

If you want to spend more money, just about anything from Noctua.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!
