390>970 then, but would either just get the 1070 or if your a bit more budget constricted, wait for the 480. Z board pointless, CPU can't OC. What's your budget?

EDIT: what ↑ said. Price to performance of 970 in comparison has just plummeted with the introduction of 1070 and 480. Kinda forgot about that

1. I would recommend going down to maybe 650 or 550 for a power supply, as 750w is very overkill in this age where everyone is focusing on efficiency

2. you can buy an windows key here leagally

3. you can load a installation media onto a usb, so an optical drive isn't necessary

 

I'm nitpicking a bit, but overall its a pretty solid build

My budget's around USD$900 to $1100. I think I'll wait for the RX 480. However, is it worth it if I don't use VR and 3D? One last thing, what motherboard would you recommend?

Eh, it's baseline at least a 390 for $200, couldn't hurt. As for the motherboard, just a cheaper B150 or H170 board. Will be cheaper since OC isn't enabled on the board.
