Random BEEPS coming from mobo...

Go to solution Solved by ViperGTX88,

Found the BEEP. It was my universal Harmony remote running out of battery. It sounds kinda like a PC beep. I feel so stupid thinking its the PC when everything is fine on the PC and i dont think the PC would beep for any errors when its off.. Well now its time to find the charger for this thing.

I am getting random beeps coming from PC every few hours. I replaced the Cmos battery thinking that was the issue. Anyone know why this is happening? I googled left and right with no anvil. Its a very short beep and another one after a min, then silence for a few hours. I never had such a weird issue. I know i can pull out the speaker but, i would rather keep it in to hear a confirmation of a good post. If i don't figure this out then i will be forced to pull that damin speaker out.

Is it an error beep? Open up your manual and see if the beep is anything specific and go from there.

Its not a error beep, just a random short beep when i am in windows or even if the PC is off with PSU plugged in.

Update: How can it be the mobo if it does it when the PC is off as well?
